Working towards their Creative Challenge, 17 members of the 5th Dartford Scout Group’s Peacock Beaver colony visited Hobbycraft in Crayford where the youngsters made Mothers day gift boxes, which they had to cover in glue and stick different coloured tissue paper all over them.
The Leaders then put a couple of chocolates inside and the present was ready for Mothers day.
While they were there they had drink and biscuit all supplied by Hobby Craft and it was a most enjoyable evening made even more so as we were complimented on the Beavers good behavior. no images were found
It was a fresh and muddy Saturday afternoon, but the rain held off for the annual Dartford District Cross Country race. The 5th Dartford Scout group was well represented, although a few more faces would have been nice. All the members who turned out for their race did very well and tried their best regardless of where in the field they came, with some remarking on how much they had improved on previous years. And to our prize winners a very well done indeed and thank you to the leaders and family who were there to support our young folks adventure.
