2013-04-27 – Canoe Done it?

mysteryAnother success for the 5th Dartford Players with their non-violent ‘Canoe Done It?” mystery, which was well attended as usual.  Cast member Darren was the culprit on this occasion having sabotaged the canoe race for financial gain! However, he was rumbled and the only one to gain on the night was our New Hall Fund as the evening raised £469.24

Thank you to everyone who supported this evening and to the cast and catering team for making it such an enjoyable evening. Continue reading

2013-04-26 – Visitors from Gravelines

globalTonight, the Earley-troop had the opportunity to make a change to our scheduled programme to welcome our friends Alain Letreux, Natacha Sacrias, other leaders and the Scouts of the Fishermen of Iceland Scout Group, from Gravelines, France, who were staying at Scout House for the weekend. Our visitors joined in games, where both teams were of mixed nationality, with one team wearing our red scarves and another in the blue and whiteUntitled.  It was a great evening, which was rounded off with our overseas friends singing some of their songs and it certainly ticked some boxes for our Global Challenge too.  We look forward to seeing them when we visit Gravelines for our Summer Camp in July.frenchvisitors1 frenchvisitors2
