The Phillips Cub Pack, re established on 24th November 2010 is named after Mr Willie Phillips, who was one of our founding leaders and responsible for our original salmon pink neckers and ultimately, for purchasing and putting in to trust the land upon which our hall stands today.
At the core of the Phillips Cub Pack leadership team is Cub Scout Leader (CSL) Kay O’Brien (Akela), Shea Gardner (ACSL), James O’Brien (ACSL) and Explorer Scout Megan.
The Phillips Cub Pack fully supports diversity in scouting and embraces the all-inclusive policy of the Scout Association. Membership for the Phillips Cub Pack is welcomed from girls and boys aged between 8 and 10 1/2, regardless of gender, ethnicity, culture or ability. Beavers filtering up from the Edwards Beaver Colony will be given priority, but the section is open to any linking beavers, or indeed young people who are new to scouting.

Our Forward Programme:
How do I join Cub Scouts?
If you would like to take part in the fun of Cub Scouting at 5th Dartford as a young person and are not already a member of the group, then please visit our Join Us page. If you’re an Edwards Beaver and are looking forward to linking with us, don’t worry your leaders will know when to link you. If you would like to find out about becoming an occasional helper or leader, please visit our Contact Us page.
When should I buy my uniform?
Before buying a uniform, new Cub Scouts should visit us for a few weeks to be sure they like scouting. Once the young person, parents and Cub Scout Leader (Akela) are confident that the young person is enjoying scouting, they will be invited to become a member and invested. The young person will then be required to wear a uniform for the ceremony and thereafter. If the new cub is a linking Beaver, the Beaver uniform should be worn until invested as a Cub.
Where can I buy my uniform?
Your official Cub Scout uniform is the same wherever you buy it, but you may well find it cheaper and more convenient to purchase from the shop at Dartford district Scout House in Broomhill Rd, DA1 3HT.
The shop is usually open on Monday & Wednesday evenings between 19:00 and 21:00.
Alternativly, uniforms can be bought locally from TFS Schoolwear, 45 Spital Street, Dartford, DA1 2DX or John Lewis or online from the scout-and-guide-shop or indeed on ebay, where both new and preowned bargains can be had.
Where do I put my badges?
Don’t forget that your Cheif Scout bronze award, Years Service and nights away badges can be transferred to your new Cub uniform.
What is the Cub Scout Motto?
