2013-04-27 – Canoe Done it?
Another success for the 5th Dartford Players with their non-violent ‘Canoe Done It?” mystery, which was well attended as usual. Cast member Darren was the culprit on this occasion having sabotaged the canoe race for financial gain! However, he was rumbled and the only one to gain on the night was our New Hall Fund as the evening raised £469.24.
Thank you to everyone who supported this evening and to the cast and catering team for making it such an enjoyable evening. Continue reading

2013-03-09 – District X Country
It was a fresh and muddy Saturday afternoon, but the rain held off for the annual Dartford District Cross Country race. The 5th Dartford Scout group was well represented, although a few more faces would have been nice. All the members who turned out for their race did very well and tried their best regardless of where in the field they came, with some remarking on how much they had improved on previous years. And to our prize winners a very well done indeed and thank you to the leaders and family who were there to support our young folks adventure.
Below is a table of our achievements and some photo’s too.

The cubs were very well behaved and particularly enjoyed this activity.
2013-02-08 – Chinese New Year
On Friday 8th February, the 5th Dartford’s Leigh Pack Cubs had a go at eating noodles and prawn crackers with chopsticks as they joined in a Chinese New Year themed evening – Year of the Snake. They also found out about the meaning of their birth year, coloured it in and wrote their names using the Chinese alphabet. They found out lots of fun facts about the meanings of the animals that their birth years represent, we had horses, sheep and monkeys. The Cubs had a great time and are now pros with chopsticks!
