Cub’s Activity Day & Sleepover – Saturday 3rd June 2017

After the cub leaders scratching their heads with what to do this year for our cubs we thought why go away when we have got all we need at our head quarters.   Apart from grass for camping, we had our luxury hall to sleep in.

At 10am 30 plus cubs arrived.  The archery, shooting and climbing was all set up in advance.  After splitting up the cubs into 3 groups we commenced with an hour and a half sessions on each activity with a break, light lunch and a cuppa.  Continue reading

2017-02-02 – Collins Police Visit

Collins Pack visit to Bexleyheath Police Station

The Cubs had a question and answer session on aspects of safety and emergency calls . Then, in groups the boys were taken down to the holding cells and to see the interview room. Going in the cells seemed to be the most exciting part of the night ! Another highlight was when all of the boys got to have their fingerprints taken to take away for a memento.
Thanks to Lyn for organising the visit.

2017-01-19 – Collins Pack Fire

Collins Pack – Fire Station visit

As part of the ‘Our World’ Challenge badge, Collins Pack visited our local Fire Station where the Fire Fighters gave a guided tour, explaining about the control room, vehicles and tools used for different situations. The Cubs had an opportunity to dress up in all the protective clothing, learn how to use a hose followed by a question and answer session at the end.

A big thank you to David, Dave and all the fire station staff for looking after us so well and making us welcome.
