2016-04-27 – Loose Change Challenge

On Wednesday 27th April, Phillips Pack had a loose change challenge fund raising night.

All the cubs were asked to collect as much loose change & bring it in to make Scout badge signs & spell out “Well done Dave” for running the London Marathon & raising over £4,700 to be split between to the two charities.

All the money raised will be split between our New Hall Fund & the MS Society.

There is still time to donate to Dave’s Just Giving page HERE.

We raised £35.80 on the night. We will continue to collect loose change until our joint Cub’s sports day Friday 15th July.2016-04-27

Dave Monteith – Marathon Fundraiser

DaveTo all my friends and colleagues thank you for taking time to read this.

I have decided to run the London marathon on behalf of two charities; 5th Dartford Scouts’ ‘New Hall Fund’ and the Multiple Sclerosis society, as they are both very close to my heart with a Scout hall slowly breaking in half and with my wife Fliss being diagnosed with MS in 2013.

I know money is tight for everybody at the moment, but if you could dig deep just for a few pounds, even just to watch a fat boy try and run 26.2 miles. My donation page is Virgin Money Giving: DaveMonteith1

Yours David Monteith

2015-05-08 – Scout Archery Camp

Phasels10 001Our fourth visit to this National tournament and for the first time we were joined by 3 Cub Scouts, who like the Scouts were a credit to the team. Very well done to Phillips-Pack leader Kay, who took silver medal in the over 18 supplied field targets, the third family member in as many years to get a medal. Whilst not competing, our young members were entertained with other activities including ‘The Cube’, crate stacking, potholing, human table football, trampolines and a cresta run. At the end of the camp, whilst taking time to reflect on our weekend during our Scout’s Own, Matthew was invested as an Explorer Scout.

A Big thanks to Tim and Pauline for the catering and keeping us fed between activities, and Tim’s homemade iced loaves were a meal in themselves.Pasport
