Cub’s Activity Day & Sleepover – Saturday 3rd June 2017

At 10am 30 plus cubs arrived. The archery, shooting and climbing was all set up in advance. After splitting up the cubs into 3 groups we commenced with an hour and a half sessions on each activity with a break, light lunch and a cuppa. Continue reading

Collins Pack – Fire Station visit
As part of the ‘Our World’ Challenge badge, Collins Pack visited our local Fire Station where the Fire Fighters gave a guided tour, explaining about the control room, vehicles and tools used for different situations. The Cubs had an opportunity to dress up in all the protective clothing, learn how to use a hose followed by a question and answer session at the end.
A big thank you to David, Dave and all the fire station staff for looking after us so well and making us welcome.
George has taken on the sale of our very special 2017 commemorative centenary calendars at just £5.00 each….. Each section is represented on a different month, with both current and historical photos and key dates for parades, camps and other events pre-printed. All funds raised come directly to the group.
Please contact your section leader to place your order.
Thank you to all our members for their innovated designs and drawings of our New Hall which they created as an activity during their sections meetings over the past month. These have been packaged together along with an artist impression provided by Chris from Explorers and submitted to Gilwell for judging.
