On Sunday 9th Feb 20 Philpott Beavers and 9 Peacock Beavers joined another 72 Beavers from all around Dartford for the Bi-Annual ‘Fun with Food Day’ held at Scout House and Lutonia Hall in Broomhill Road and boy did we all have fun!
Four hours of tasting, touching and making all sorts of food.
The list included mini savoury sandwiches, exotic fruit cocktail, raw and cooked fish, chocolate fountain, Mississippi Mud Pies, Micro-wave cakes in a mug, iced/decorated biscuits, mini pancakes, knotting spaghetti and a very educational Quiz about hidden sugar and salt in products.
Luckily as it stayed dry the Beavers were able to have a run around in the garden and play organised games for the last half-hour to burn off some of those calories, whilst the Leaders were busy clearing up the mess!!
A good lot of work done towards their Healthy Eating Badge.
