Friday 14 April saw 1 linking Cub, 13 Scouts, 17 Explorers and 11 leaders journey to Thriftwood Scout Campsite for our annual Easter Camp. We were blessed with great weather for both pitch and strike and aside from a little rain on Friday night, remained dry throughout. The Scouts enjoyed activities including Fishing, Axe Throwing, Backwoods Cooking, Fire-lighting, Axe & Saw, Char-cloth, Camp Gadgets, Knife-work, Shelter Building and an egg hunt. The Scouts worked towards their Survival Skills activity badge, whilst the Explorers mostly kept a mountainous fire burning for 48 hours and supplemented 5 whole chickens with a pizza delivery 😉
Many thanks to all the leaders for giving up your Easter weekend and especially to Sean for planning and organising the camp and activities.
