2016-10-15 – Philpott Nature

squirillPhilpott Colony visited the Bluewater Nature Trail on Saturday 15th October 2016

Thirteen Beavers from Philpott Colony met outside Pizza Express at 10am on Saturday 15th October. After being given a map and questionnaire we set off following the big green paw prints leading us to the beginning of the Nature Trail. At various points around the lakes were sign posts of Sidney

Squirrel dressed in different costumes telling us details of what could be seen in the area and what to look and listen for.

Half-way round we stopped and played in the playground and had much needed refreshments, then carried on collecting feathers, acorns etc en route to the finish.

Two hours later we handed in our completed forms to the Concierge Desk in Bluewater and in return each Beaver was presented with a large colouring/activity book and a packet of crayons.

Luckily the weather was dry and bright so a wonderful time was had by all.

Our thanks to Bluewater for setting out such an interesting trail for us all to enjoy.
