\"\"<\/a>Today the 5th Dartford Scout Group commenced\u00a0its 95th birthday celebrations with a short parade from the hall to the Spital Street Methodist church and as usual, everyone present was made very welcome by Rev Tim and his congregation.\u00a0 We were well represented, with a good turnout of members from All 9 sections.\u00a0 During the service a prayer was read by Leigh-Pack<\/a> Cub George and readings\u00a0by\u00a0Earley-Troop<\/a> members Connor and James.\u00a0\u00a0Members of the congregation had a fundraiser for our benefit\u00a0yesterday and raised a “small sum” for our new hall fund, \u00a0which to the thankful gasp of all present turned out to be \u00a3700!<\/p>\n

After the service, we paraded the colours back to HQ before the Scouts<\/a> and Explorers<\/a> left to go ice-skating and the Cubs<\/a> and Beavers<\/a>\u00a0remained for a party with entertainer and long time favourite of the Fifth, Travis.\u00a0\u00a0All\u00a0who attended the party had a great time, as did the\u00a0ice-skating contingent with some talent in the making for some and for others………… well let’s just say thanks for keeping the rest of us laughing \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Every invested member now has the\u00a0privilage of wearing\u00a0our\u00a095th Birthday badge on their necker, which was\u00a0designed by Burne-Troop<\/a>\u00a0member Patrick. If you have not yet recieved your birthday badge, please speak with your section leader.<\/p>\n
