{"id":1686,"date":"2010-04-06T21:31:26","date_gmt":"2010-04-06T20:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/?p=1686"},"modified":"2010-04-06T22:16:25","modified_gmt":"2010-04-06T21:16:25","slug":"2010-03-27-philpott-beavers-1st-sleepover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/?p=1686","title":{"rendered":"2010-03-27 &#8211; Philpott Beavers 1st Sleepover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1693\" title=\"beavers\" src=\"http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/beavers1-300x242.jpg\" alt=\"beavers\" width=\"80\" height=\"74\" \/>The first ever sleepover for the 5th Dartford scout group&#8217;s Philpott Beaver colony was held tonight at 1st <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1694\" title=\"tardis\" src=\"http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/tardis-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"tardis\" width=\"80\" height=\"81\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/tardis-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.5thdartfordscouts.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/tardis.jpg 298w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 80px) 100vw, 80px\" \/>Dartford Scout Hall.\u00a0 6 Beavers arrived at 15:30 for an evening themed around Dr Who, where the young people made their own T.A.R.D.I.S and\u00a0got a\u00a0surprise visit from &#8220;The Master&#8221; aka GSL Paul Boreham in disguise.\u00a0 Hot cross buns were cooked by the young adventurers over\u00a0a camp fire;\u00a0they prepared and peeled their own vegetables to eat with\u00a0dinner and even did the washing up afterwards, albeit under duress.\u00a0 There were games and fun aplenty with a sleeping bag race at 06:30 and the event finished at 09:30, with the youngsters begging the question &#8220;When can we do it again?&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0Well Aunty Beaver, will it be soon?
